Immaculata (9-8, 3-1 AEC) finishes their regular season in second place in the Atlantic East Conference and will host third seed Gwynedd Mercy in the Conference Semifinals on Saturday. The nine regular season wins are the most by an Immaculata field hockey team since the 1982 team won 11.
How it Happened
- Immaculata had the only penalty corner of the first quarter in the 12th minute.
- Neumann was credited with the only shot attempt in the first quarter in the 14th minute that went wide.
- In the second quarter, Immaculata had three penalty corners to one for Neumann. Rory Watson and Madalyn Bonner had shot attempts that were blocked.
- Neumann had the game's first shots on goal in the games 35th minute as Molly McGee and Cadence Conti both had shots that were saved by Julia Levase.
- Gabielle O'Brien had Immaculata's first shot on goal in the game's 36th minute that was saved by Neumann goalkeeper Emma Schneider.
- Immaculata dominated fourth quarter with five penalty corners, and six shot attempts. Alexis Andrada and Della George both had shots saved by Schneider.
- Immaculata wasted little time finishing the game in overtime, as Della George's shot was deflected into the cage by Maria Berenato 0:23 into overtime to win the game 1-0.
