Women's Soccer Visits Marywood for Tough AEC Test in Regular Season Finale

THE STORYLINE
  • The Immaculata women's soccer team (6-8-2, 2-2-1 AEC) travels to Marywood on Wednesday for their final regular season game.
  • Immaculata enters Wednesday's game after earning a 2-2 draw on the road vs Neumann on October 23rd. The Mighty Macs have secured a playoff spot and will be the fourth seed in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament.
  • Marywood (12-3-2, 4-0-1 AEC) enters Wednesday's game after defeating Pratt 10-0 on Saturday, are competing with Marymount to secure the 1st seed in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament.

  • Gabby Palladino scored her second goal of the season in the 78th minute of the game vs Neumann to tie the score at 2-2 that helped Immaculata earn the point that clinched a playoff spot for the Mighty Macs. Palladino has a team-high five assists this season.
  • Immaculata will get additional offensive push from Carly Coleman with four goals, and Savanna Crowding with two goals.
  • Immaculata has gotten strong support off the bench and in some starting roles this season from Addison Yackel, Mia Perrone, and Natalene Clemson.
  • Immaculata's defensive core of Janelle Kern, Samantha Seidito, Marissa Birmingham, and midfielders Rachel McNamee, Kelsey Caldarelli, Mia Perrone, and Addison Yackel all helped limit Neumann to only nine shots in the game, and just four shots on goal.

  • Entering the final game of the regular season, Immaculata has secured the fourth seed for the upcoming Atlantic East Conference Tournament and will host the First-Round game vs the fifth seed on Saturday, November 2nd.
  • The results of the Gwynedd Mercy vs Centenary game will determine Immaculata's opponent. If Gwynedd Mercy wins that game, the Griffins will get the fifth seed. If Gwynedd Mercy loses or ties Centenary, Pratt would get the fifth seed and play the Mighty Macs.
