SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata University Field Hockey team (7-8, 1-1 AEC) fell to Marywood University (10-5, 2-0 AEC) after jostling for over seventy minutes of play. The Mighty Macs and Pacers remained scoreless until the 40th minute and the teams were later knotted 1-1 from the 50th minute on. The match was ultimately settled in the 73rd minute, as Marywood found the back of the cage in second overtime for a 2-1 final.

How it Happened

• Marywood held the upper hand in the opening half, outshooting Immaculata 13 shots to 0 and generating 13 penalty corners to Immaculata's 1. 
• Goalkeeper Julia Levase made nine saves across the first two periods to keep the Pacers off the board early.
• Marywood's Maria Tomada found Dariane Jones off a penalty corner for the match's first score 39 minutes in.
• After a pair of penalty corners for the Mighty Macs, Kailey Mayoros was awarded a penalty stroke. Mayoros converted the attempt to level the score 1-1 with ten minutes remaining in regulation.
• The Mighty Macs held on to force overtime knotted one goal apiece.
• Two minutes into the first overtime period, Della George had a shot saved before Alexis Andrada's shot was turned away.
