Women's Soccer Hosts Pratt at Draper Walsh Stadium for an AEC Encounter on Saturday

THE STORYLINE
  • The Immaculata women's soccer team (6-7-1, 1-0-0 AEC) hosts new AEC member Pratt Institute in an Atlantic East Conference game Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.
  • Immaculata enters Saturday's game after winning at Centenary last Saturday, 2-1 for their second conference win of the season. Carly Coleman and Rachel McNamee scored for the Mighty Macs.
  • Pratt (3-9-20, 0-3-0 AEC) enters Saturday's game after falling to Neumann 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon at home.
 
THE SERIES
  • These two schools will be meeting for the second time in their series that began back in 2023.
  • Immaculata is 1-0 all-time vs Pratt Institute.
 
THEIR LAST MEETING  
MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • Carly Coleman scored Immaculata's first goal vs Centenary on Saturday, on a breakaway for her fourth goal of the season. Coleman has now scored in back-to-back games for the Mighty Macs.
  • Not originally credited, Samantha Seidito played the through ball to give Coleman the breakaway has now been credited with the assist on the goal.
  • Rachel McNamee scored her team-high sixth goal of the season to put Immaculata back on top 2-1 only 1:07 after Centenary had tied the score at 1-1. The goal was McNamee's 19th career goal that ties her for fourth place in program history with Kim Steinke (2008-11). With one more goal McNamee would become just the fourth player in program history to reach 20 career goals.
  • Emily Guthier continued her strong play in goal this season, making four saves in Saturday's win at Centenary. Guthier had nine saves vs Marymount in their game on October 9th.
  • Gabby Palladino and Sam Terry share the team lead in assists with four each. Palladino continues to be a big presence in the midfield and attacking ends for Immaculata. Sam Terry has been taking all the corner kicks, and most of the set pieces when in the game this season. All four of Terry's assists have been on corner kicks.
  • Immaculata has gotten strong play from Savanna Crowding with two goals and one assist, and Kelsey Caldarelli with one goal.
  • The Immaculata defensive core of Sam Terry, Janelle Kern, Samantha Seidito, and Marissa Birmingham have been able limit opponent's chances in games.
  • Immaculata has gotten good support off the bench from Addison Yackel, Jenna Hayes, Mia Perrone, and Natalene Clemson.
  • Immaculata is averaging 12.8 shots per game, and their opponents are averaging 15.4 shots per game.
 
SCOUTING PRATT
  • Junior midfielder Kat Thomsen with six goals and two assists, sophomore midfielder Emma Pratt with four goals and two assists, and senior forward Siena Sujitno with five goals lead the Cannoneers offense.
  • First-year forward Claire Hook with two goals and team-high three assists, and first-year forward Kate Nolan with two goals figure into the attack from Pratt.
  • Junior Emma Gaspari has started nine games and is 2-6 with 2.67 goals against average. Gaspari has made 53 saves on 118 shots faced. Gaspari has a combined shutout with sophomore Savannah Depaz.
  • Pratt took the early lead against Neumann on Wednesday, as Siena Sujitno scored on a breakaway 25 into the game. Neumann scored three times later in the first half and scored two more in the second half to take the game 5-1.
  • Pratt is averaging 16.4 shots per game, and their opponents are averaging 14.7 shots per game.
 
WEEKLY HONORS
  • Carly Coleman was named to the Atlantic East Conference Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon. Coleman had a goal in each of Immaculata's games this week. She scored in their conference game against Marymount on October 9th, and she scored in Immaculata's 2-1 conference win over Centenary on October 12th.
  • Emily Guthier was named to the Atlantic East Conference Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon. Guthier had a combined 13 saves on a combined 29 shots faced in Immaculata's two games this past week. Guthier had nine saves on 22 shots faced against Marymount on October 9th. Guthier had four saves on seven shots faced in Immaculata's 2-1 win at Centenary on October 12th.
 
ATLANTIC EAST CONFERENCE
  • Including Saturday's game, Immaculata's remaining three regular-season games are Atlantic East Conference games.
  • The top five teams qualify for the Atlantic East Conference Tournament starting on November 2nd with the #4 seed hosting the #5 seed in the First Round. The First-Round winner will advance to the Semifinals and play at the #1 seed, and the #2 seed will host the #3 seed in the Semifinals on Wednesday, November 6th. The semifinal winners will meet for the Atlantic East Conference Championship and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament at the higher seed on Saturday, November 9th.
