THE STORYLINE
  • The Immaculata women's soccer team (5-5-1, 1-0-0 AEC) enters Wednesday's match after winning both games last week. Immaculata defeated Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday 3-0 in their Atlantic East Conference opener. The game is at 4:00 pm, noted previously on the Immaculata website, with time listed as 6:00 pm in error. This is Immaculata's final non-conference game of the season.
  • Haverford College (6-2-1, 1-0-1 Centennial) enters Wednesday match after going 1-0-1 last week. Haverford tied Franklin & Marshall 3-3 on September 25th, and defeated Gettysburg 1-0 on September 28th.
 
THE SERIES
  • These two schools are meeting for the 7th time in their series that began in 2006.
  • Immaculata is 0-6-0 all-time vs Haverford.
  • Haverford defeated Immaculata 7-0 in their last meeting on September 26, 2023, at Draper Walsh Stadium.
 
MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • Rachel McNamee opened the scoring for Immaculata on Saturday, with her team leading fifth goal of the season.
  • Savanna Crowding scored goals in both games this past week for the Mighty Macs. Crowding had an assist on McNamee's goal and scored Immaculata's second goal in the first half in Saturday's win over Gwynedd Mercy.
  • Gabby Palladino continues to be a spark for the Mighty Macs generating four shots including two on goal in Saturday's win. Palladino chased down a ball placed a cross to in the box to Rachel McNamee for Immaculata's first goal of the game. It was Palladino's third assist.
  • Sam Terry was a factor at both ends of the field on Saturday. She was a part of the defensive core that limited the Griffins to five shots, with only three on goal. Terry also registered her team high fourth assist when her corner kick was knocked in by Carly Coleman.
  • Emily Guthier started all 11 games in goal for Immaculata, going 5-5-1. Guthier has a 1.73 goals-against average making 63 saves on 158 shots faced. She earned her second shutout of the season on Saturday.
  • Immaculata's defensive core of Sam Terry, Janelle Kern, Samantha Seidito, Marissa Birmingham, and Jena Hayes did an excellent job limiting the chances in both games last week.
  • Immaculata is 4-0 this season in one goal games.
  • Immaculata is averaging 12.9 shots per game, and their opponents are averaging 14.4 shots per game.
 
SCOUTING HAVERFORD
  • Junior forward Olivia Daulerio with four goals and two assists, and senior midfielder Phoebe Garfield three goals and four assists lead the Fords offense.
  • Senior forward Grace Haskell added two goals and two assists for the Fords.
  • Junior goalie Lily Buyer has started all nine games for the Fords. She is 6-2-1 with a 0.89 goals-against average. She has made 29 saves and has five shutouts.
  • Haverford is averaging 15.6 shots per game and has limited their opponents to eight shots per game.
  • Haverford is 4-1-1 at Walton Field this season.
 
WEEKLY HONORS
  • Savanna Crowding was named Atlantic East Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. Crowding combined two goals and one assist in Immaculata's two wins this week. Crowding scored Immaculata's first goal in their win over Albright on September 24th. Crowding assisted on the game-winning goal, then later scored her second goal of the week in the second half of the Mighty Macs Atlantic East Conference season-opening win over Gwynedd Mercy on September 28th. Crowding was also named Mighty Mac of the Week by the Immaculata Sports Information Office.
  • Sam Terry was named Atlantic East Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. Terry helped lead Immaculata to a pair of wins this week. Immaculata defeated Albright 2-1 on September 24th, as Terry and the defense limited Albright to just four shots on goal during the game. In Immaculata's Atlantic East Conference opening win over Gwynedd Mercy on September 28th, Terry helped Immaculata's defense earn the clean sheet by limiting the Griffins to just five shots with only three on goal. Terry had assists in both games.
