IMMACULATA,PA.- The Immaculata women's soccer team dropped their non-conference matchup with Moravian by a score of 4-1 at Draper Walsh Stadium on Thursday evening.
Moravian jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 11
th minute of play. They would quickly add to their lead in the 15
th minute to put themselves in front 2-0. Shortly before the end of the 1
st half, junior
Rachel McNamee got Immaculata on the board when she fired a strike with her right foot off a feed from senior
Nicole Winouski to cut the Greyhounds lead to 2-1 heading into the break.
The Greyhounds would add two more goals in the second half in the 79
th and 88
th minutes.
Gina Marinelli battled all night in goal, making 10 saves while facing 30 shots from the Greyhounds. McNamee led Immaculata with two shots on goal, while senior
Jessica Gindle and sophomore
Danielle Griffin each added one. The Mighty Macs drew 3 corner kicks on the evening.
The Immaculata women's soccer team is back in action on Sunday, October 1
st when they take on future conference foe Pratt Institute at Draper Walsh Stadium beginning at 1:00 PM.
