IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team defeated Lancaster Bible College in dominating fashion with a final score of 5-0.

It was the
Lauren Vandenbraak show early on, as the senior captain opened up the scoring in the 4
th minute of play off of a feed from junior
Caitlyn Ryan. Vandenbraak would find the back of the net 3 minutes later to extend the lead to 2-0.

Freshman
Kailey Mayoros scored her first career goal as a Mighty Mac in the 9
th minute, assisted by
Lauren Vandenbraak. This would stretch the Mighty Mac leads to 3-0 in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, senior
Emily Kipers would connect with sophomore
Abby Jones who found the back of the net for her first goal of her Immaculata career. This would also be the first assist of Kipers career. Heading into halftime the Mighty Macs led 4-0.

In the 50
th minute of gametime, sophomore
Gabrielle O'Brien would add a 5
th goal for Immaculata off an assist from junior
Ryann Shemeley.

The Mighty Macs tallied 25 shots on the morning, with 18 of those being shots on goal. They also drew seven offensive corners. Junior goalkeepers
Julia Levase and
Ashley Finkbiner would combine to keep the Chargers off the scoreboard.

The Immaculata field hockey team is back in action on Wednesday, September 20
th when they host Widener University for a 7:00 showdown at Draper Walsh Stadium.
