DOYLESTOWN,Pa.- The Immaculata women's soccer team dropped their non-conference matchup with Delaware Valley University by a score of 8-2.
Delaware Valley jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 14
th minute of play. Junior
Rachel McNamee would respond with her second goal of the season in the 19
th minute via a penalty kick. DelVal would extend their lead to 4-1 heading into the half.
The Aggies would add another goal to open the second half. Shortly after junior
Kelsey Caldarelli would respond with her first goal of the season to cut the Aggie lead to 5-2 in the 50
th minute of action. DelVal would add three more goals throughout the second half.
The Immaculata offense would take five corner kicks on the afternoon, while adding 10 shots; seven of which came in the second half.
The Immaculata women's soccer team is back in action at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday, September 16
th for a 3:30 PM matchup with Rosemont College.
