READING,Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team dropped their season opener on the road at Albright College by a final score of 2-0.

Albright opened the scoring in the contest with a first quarter goal and never looked back. The Mighty Macs goaltender, junior
Julia Levase defended 17 shots on the afternoon. Levase made six saves in the contest. Junior
Madalyn Bonner added a defensive save as well.

The Mighty Mac offense tallied six shots on the day, four of which being on goal. Freshman
Emilyn Bivens led the attack with two shots, both on goal. Senior
Lauren Vandenbraak added one shot on goal and junior
Caitlyn Ryan added one of her own.

The Immaculata offensive unit drew six penalty corners.

The Immaculata field hockey team is back in action on Wednesday, September 6
th when they travel to Eastern University for a 4:00 PM start time.
