ASTON,Pa.- The Immaculata women's basketball team fell on the road to Neumann University by a score of 70-65
In a back and forth first quarter of play, the Mighty Macs came out with an early 18-17 lead. The Macs took advantage of hard cuts and being able to get out in transition and play with some pace.
At the half, the Mighty Macs trailed 36-31.
Reese Mullins led the way in the first half with 12 points while
Abigail Lentowski had 11 of her own.
Trailing by as much as 13 out of the break, the Mighty Macs used a full court press to try and claw their way back into the game. At the end of the 3
rd, the Knights led 51-45.
In the fourth quarter, Immaculata started to find their stroke from outside with back to back threes from
Morgan Falcone and
Erin Kelly. Despite their best efforts, the Macs could not complete the comeback in the Atlantic East Conference match up.
Overall, Immaculata was led in scoring by
Reese Mullins with a game high 21 points, and
Abigail Lentowski who added 19.
Morgan Falcone also had 11 points for the Mighty Macs. Mullins and Lentowski both had eight rebounds each to lead the way on the glass.
Immaculata falls to 5-4 in Atlantic East Conference play, where they are back in action on Wednesday, February 8
th when they travel to Cabrini University for a 6:00 start.
