IMMACULATA, Pa.- Abigail Lentowski scored nine of her team high 17 points in the final quarter as Immaculata came from behind to beat Neumann in their Atlantic East Quarterfinal 58-52. The Mighty Macs will now advance to the Atlantic East Semifinals on Wednesday, February 20
th when they will visit the first seed Marymount University.
Neumann jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter with Lauren Klieber scoring 10 of her game-high 24 points in the first quarter. Neumann led 16-6 with 1:55 remaining in the first quarter.
Abigail Boyer hit a pair of free throws and added a basket.
Olivia Ettorre hit a pair of free throws, and
Abigail Lentowski hit a basket as the Macs closed the Knights lead to 16-14. The first quarter would end with Neumann leading 18-14.
In the second quarter
Kaitlyn Racobaldo scored six straight points to give Immaculata the lead 20-18 with 5:50 remaining in the half. Neumann quickly recovered and took the lead back.
Abigail Lentowski hit a basket, and
Reese Mullins completed a three-point play as the Macs tied the game at 25-25.
Abigail Lentowski scored the final four points for the Macs in the first half as they took a 29-27 lead into the halftime break.
In the third quarter
Morgan Falcone was on fire, hitting a three-pointer, and generated a pair of steals that resulted in a layup for
Meghan Ricker, and another layup for herself as the Macs took an early 36-27 lead. Neumann would find their way back, and the third quarter ended with the Knights leading 41-40.
In the fourth quarter Neumann extended their lead to 43-40 early in the quarter. Immaculata responded with a layup by
Olivia Ettorre. Neumann would lead by six at 50-44 with 4:38 remaining in the game. The Macs began their comeback with
Erin Kelly hitting a pair of free throws, and Reese Mullin hit a jumper to pull within two points with 3:24 remaining.
Abigail Lentowski hit a jumper, and
Reese Mullins followed with a layup to put the Macs up 52-50. After Neumann tied the score,
Abigail Lentowski put Immaculata ahead to stay with a three-pointer with 1:41 remaining.

Abigail Lentowski hit a pair of free throws to close out the 58-52 win.
The Macs were led offensively by
Abigail Lentowski who scored 17 points and three rebounds.
Reese Mullins scored 10 points and pulled down a team high seven rebounds, and
Morgan Falcone scored 10 points, added four rebounds, and had four steals.
Kaitlyn Racobaldo scored six points,
Abigail Boyer scored five points, and
Erin Kelly scored four points, had a team high six assists and added three steals.
The Immaculata women's basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday, February 20
th when they travel to play at Marymount University in the Atlantic East Semifinals.
