IMMACULATA, Pa- Three Mighty Macs scored in double figures as Immaculata cruised to 73-58 win over Albright in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon at Alumnae Hall. This was Immaculata's third consecutive win and their third win of the week.
The team's exchanged the lead early in the first quarter. Trailing 8-7 with 6:18 remaining in the first quarter, Immaculata scored on a layup by
Morgan Falcone, a three-pointer by
Abigail Boyer, and a jumper by
Tessa Liberatoscioli to take a 14-8 lead.
Abigail Lentowski would hit a three pointer at the buzzer as Immaculata led 19-10 after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Immaculata jump out quick with a jumper from
Tessa Liberatoscioli, and layups from
Abigail Lentowski and
Reese Mullins to extend their lead to 25-10. Immaculata would get a pair of three pointers from
Morgan Falcone and a three pointer from
Reese Mullins to take a 40-24 into the halftime break.
Morgan Falcone led all scorers in the first half with 10 points.
Abigail Lentowski had nine points, and
Reese Mullins had seven points.
In the third quarter, Immaculata got a pair of baskets from
Olivia Ettorre and a basket from
Tessa Liberatoscioli to take a 46-32 lead with 6:41 remaining.
Morgan Falcone would hit her third three pointer of the game to restore the Macs lead back to 17 with four minutes remaining in the quarter. Immaculata would lead 61-41 at the end of three quarters.
In the fourth quarter, Albright refused to go quietly cutting the Immaculata lead down to 65-56 with 2:59 remaining. The Mighty Macs responded immediately, as
Abigail Lentowski hit a pair of free throws and
Tessa Liberatoscioli scored consecutive baskets to extend the lead back to 71-56. Immaculata would go on to close out the win 73-58.
The Mighty Macs were led today by
Morgan Falcone with tied for a game high 19 points, four rebounds and a steal, and
Abigail Lentowski with 19 points, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.
Tessa Liberatoscioli registered her second double-double of the season with 10 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and five steals.
Abigail Boyer,
Olivia Ettorre, and
Reese Mullins each scored seven points.
Francesca Scarpone, and
Julia Pohl each scored two points for the Mighty Macs.
