PHOENIXVILLE,Pa.- The Immaculata men's basketball team opened up their 2023-24 season with a dominating victory over Valley Forge, taking down the Patriots by a score of 91-60.

Tyler Tillery,
Ryan Straub and
Gregory Vlassopoulos all reached double figures for the Mighty Macs on the evening. Tillery and Straub each poured in 15 points while Vlassopoulos added 12. Tillery and
John Proctor both corralled eight rebounds to lead the team.
Dylan Crews and
Tim Schultice each added five assists, with 10 Mighty Macs assisting in the game.

In a back and forth contest to start, the Macs pulled away in the first half to head into the break with a 48-29 lead. Immaculata would outscore the Patriots 43-31 in the second half.

Eleven Mighty Macs would find the basket, with Tillery (15) , Straub (15), Vlassopoulos (12), Crews (8) , Schultice (8), Proctor (7) ,
John Flood (6), and
Jalen Flowers (5).
Mandon Seapoe (9),
Dinero Washington (4) and
Tyler Scarpulla (2) all scored their first buckets of their respective collegiate careers.

As a team, Immaculata shot 45.8% from the floor and 48.1% from beyond the arc while racking up 43 rebounds and 13 steals. Immaculata set a new program record for assists in a game with 28, surpassing the previous record of 27 (vs. Cairn 2/7/18).Â

The Immaculata men's basketball team is back in action on Saturday, November 11
th when they host Penn State Brandywine at Alumnae Hall for a 3:00 PM start for their home opener.
