SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata men's soccer team fell at Marywood 1-0 in their final Atlantic East Conference regular season game.
With both teams battling to earn homefield advantage for the Atlantic East Conference tournament starting Saturday, October 28
th, the first half was even with both teams generating three shots.
Immaculata had its best chance to take the lead in the 12
th minute of play when they were awarded a penalty kick.
Josh Fonder's penalty attempt was saved by the Marywood goalkeeper.

Ryan Straub made two saves in the first half as the teams went to the dressing rooms with the score 0-0.
In the second half, both teams continued to battle. Immaculata went down to ten men in the 75
th minute when
Justin Hahn was assessed a straight red card.
Playing a man down, Immaculata was unable to keep the game even as Marywood was able to score in the 82
nd minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Immaculata threatened late but were unable to level the score falling 1-0.
In a tight defensive struggle, the Mighty Macs were only able to generate two shots on goal, one each from
Josh Fonder and
Michael Prall. Goalkeeper
Ryan Straub made seven saves for the Macs.

The Immaculata men's soccer team (4-6-6, AEC 2-2-2) finished the regular season in a three-way tie with Marymount and Marywood. Following the tiebreakers, the Mighty Macs earned the fourth seed in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament. They will host their Quarterfinal match vs Marymount University on Saturday, October 28
th at Draper Walsh stadium at 4:00 PM.
