SCRANTON,Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team dropped their Atlantic East Conference showdown with Marywood University by a score of 4-1.

Immaculata took the long drive up to Scranton and wasted no time getting on the board, with
Lauren Buckel getting the Macs out to a very early 1-0 lead in the 1
st minute of action.
Lauren Vandenbraak would record an assist on Buckel's goal.

The Pacers would waste no time responding with a goal of their own just seconds later. The Pacers would take the lead for good in the 4
th minute of play. After adding another goal to start the second period, Marywood took a 3-1 lead into the break.

Coming out of the half, the Pacers would add another goal in the 32
nd minute of play.

It was a quiet night for the Mighty Macs on the offensive half of the turf, drawing three penalty corners in the contest. The Macs had six shots with four being on goal by way of Buckel, Vandenbraak (2) and
Ryann Shemeley.

This loss drops Immaculata to 6-9 overall and 3-2 in Atlantic East play.

The Immaculata field hockey team is back in action on Saturday, October 21
st when they wrap up Atlantic East Conference play on the road at Manhattanville for an 11:00 AM contest.
