CAMDEN, N.J.- The Immaculata women's volleyball team was back in action on Sunday as they traveled to Camden, NJ for a tri-match with Rutgers-Camden and Brooklyn College. Immaculata lost both matches in the tri-match falling to Rutgers-Camden 3-0 and Brooklyn College 3-1.
In their first match of the day, Immaculata took on Rutgers-Camden. In the first set the teams exchanged points early with Immaculata getting kills from
Calissa Araujo and
Emily Ettien. With the score tied at 6-6, Rutgers-Camden took control of the set with multiple four-point runs. Rutgers-Camden would win the first set  25-14.
In set two, Rutgers-Camden took an early 9-3 lead. Immaculata would use a kill from
Mia Esposito, and
Christina Lenzo would serve four-consecutive points to close the lead to 9-8. Rutgers-Camden used an 11-point run, as they went on the take set two 25-16.
Rutgers-Camden would jump out to an early 8-0 in set three, and go on to close out the match taking set three 25-11.
The Mighty Macs were led by
Ava Thorley with three kills, Isabell Ridgell,
Emily Ettien,
Emma Hodgson, and
Mia Esposito each had two kills.
Emily Ettien had six assists, and
Christina Lenzo had three assists.
Lily Burnette registered 13 digs.
In their second match of the day, the Mighty Macs took on Brooklyn College. Immaculata would take an early 8-4 advantage as
Emma Hodgson served consecutive points. Brooklyn then used an 8-1 run to take a commanding 23-17 lead.
Emma Hodgson served another four straight points to close the Brooklyn lead to 23-22. Brooklyn managed to hold off the Macs and took set one 25-23.
In set two, the teams exchanged the lead early. Immaculata would use a side out and
Dinah Stabinski served consecutive points as the Mighty Macs took an 8-6 lead.
Emily Ettien,
Lily Burnette, and
Karissa Hermann each served multiple points as the Macs won set two 25-19.
The third set of the match saw each team go on multiple point runs throughout. With Immaculata trailing 21-16,
Mia Esposito had a kill off an assist from
Emily Ettien to cut the Brooklyn lead to 21-17.
Christina Lenzo served consecutive points to pull the Mighty Macs within two at 21-19. Brooklyn responded with tree straight points to go up 24-19. The Macs refused to roll over, and
Calissa Araujo earned a side out on a kill, and
Dinah Stabinski served consecutive aces to pull the Macs back to 24-22. Brooklyn would hold on to take set three 25-22.
Brooklyn would go on to take a tightly contested fourth set 25-22 to take the match 3-1.
Immaculata was led by
Mia Esposito with nine kills,
Ava Thorley with seven kills, and
Emily Ettien with 6 kills, 15 assists, and four service aces.
Christina Lenzo added 13 assists,
Karissa Herman added three assists and two service aces.
Dinah Stabinski registered two service aces.
On the defensive side for Immaculata,
Lily Burnette had 19 digs,
Emily Ettien had 17 digs, and
Dinah Stabinski had 13 digs.
Isabella Ridgell,
Emma Hodgson, and
Mia Esposito each registered one block.

th when they host a tri-match at Alumnae Hall. Immaculata will play Penn State -Schuylkill at 11:00 AM and John Jay College at 3:00 PM.
