HACKETTSTOWN,Nj. – The Immaculata men's basketball team opened up their 2023 Atlantic East Conference slate with a 78-56 win over Centenary University.
The Mighty Macs defense was stout throughout the game, holding the Cyclones to 21 first half points. At the half, the Mighty Macs led 39-21.
In a contest that saw 11 different Immaculata players score, they were led by
Keith Farmer who tallied a season high of 17 points.
John Proctor added 13 and
Tyler Tillery added 10. Farmer also led the way with nine rebounds, with Proctor corralling eight of his own.
The Mighty Macs won the rebound battle, out rebounding the Cyclones 42-29 on the afternoon. As a team, the Macs shot 48.3% from the floor and did not trail once in the contest, holding a lead for the final 37 minutes of game action.
This win moves Immaculata to 1-0 in Atlantic East Conference play, where they will next be back in action on Wednesday, January 11
th for a match up with the Cabrini Cavaliers at Alumnae Hall for an 8:00 tip.
