Farmer and Proctor Record Double Doubles as Macs Defeat Cabrini

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's basketball team behind double doubles from Keith Farmer and John Proctor defeated Cabrini 76-49 in their Atlantic East Conference home opener.

Keith Farmer led Immaculata with 23 points shooting 10-of-15 from the field and pulled down 12 rebounds. John Proctor scored 12 points, and contributed a career high 11 rebounds, two blocked shots and two steals. Tyler Tillery scored 10 points and had 8 rebounds. Ryan Straub scored a career-high nine points shooting 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Gregory Vlassopoulos scored nine points and added three rebounds and Steven Dao scored nine points and had four rebounds.

In the first half Cabrini took the early 2-0 lead scoring with 19:25 remaining in the half. This would prove to be their only lead in the game. Immaculata responded scoring the next six points on a layup from Gregory Vlassopoulos and consecutive baskets from John Proctor. After Cabrini broke the Macs run, Tyler Tillery hit a three-pointer to extend the lead to 9-4. Immaculata would see it's lead grow to 20 points on a jumper from Keith Farmer with 2:59 remaining in the half. Immaculata would carry a 41-25 lead into the halftime break.

Keith Farmer led all scores in the first half scoring 11 points, while John Proctor scored 10 points and Tyler Tillery scored six points. Immaculata outscored Cabrini 18-10 in the paint in the first half.

In the second half, Cabrini scored the first six points to cut the Macs lead to 41-31 with 18:16 remaining in the game. Tyler Tillery broke the run with a layup that would start a 14-point run for Immaculata. Ryan Straub came off the bench and hit three, three pointers in the second half for the Macs. Immaculata would close out the win 76-49.

The Immaculata men's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday, January 14th when they host Neumann University at 3:00 PM.
