Misericordia struck first, scoring their first goal of the contest in the tenth minute of play. However, the Mighty Mac defense prevailed through the rest of the first half, with sophomore goalkeeper
John Wilhelm tallying three crucial saves that kept Macs competing in the matchup. Halfway through the first half, Immaculata began to push against the opposing offense, with senior forward
Oldy Dielce and sophomore defender
Oliver Wilkins placing shots on the Misericordia goal. At the conclusion of the first half, the Cougars maintained the 1-0 lead against the Mighty Macs.
Â
In just the first few minutes of the second half, Immaculata sophomore midfielder
Phillip Lyons took a shot on the opposing goal while goalkeeper

However, with the Misericordia offense applying serious pressure around the halfway point of the second half, it was difficult for the Immaculata defense to prevent the second and final goal of the contest. The visiting Cougars scored their second goal in the 75th minute of play, securing the victory on the road against the Mighty Macs.
