IMMACULATA-Pa.- The Immaculata women's volleyball team took care of business tonight in a 3 set to 1 victory over Cairn University.
The Mighty Macs came out firing on all cylinders getting out to an early lead going up two sets to zero. Taking the first set 25-20 and the second 24-14.
Cairn came out fighting in the third set, taking that one 25-17. The fourth set was very back and forth and went down to the wire. With both teams going on runs, Immaculata was able to come out on top 26-24, with a game clinching kill by
Emily Ettien.
The Mighty Macs were led by senior
Isabelle Davis who contributed a team high 10 kills, as well as adding 6 digs. Junior
Emily Ettien provided a game high 27 assists to go along with 15 digs and five kills of her own. Junior
Lily Burnette tallied a game high 24 digs, while senior
Ava Thorley joined the party with 13 of her own while junior
Isabella Ridgell added 9. Freshman
Emma Hodgson led the match with 5 service aces.
The Immaculata women's volleyball team is back in action on Saturday, September 24
th as they travel to Cedar Crest for a 10:00 A.M start.
