IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team dropped its 2nd Atlantic East Conference matchup against Marywood 11-4 on Wednesday night.
The Mighty Macs found themselves down in an early deficit as the Pacers scored four goals in the first 13 minutes of action. The Macs responded with a goal by
Steve Long to begin the second quarter. The Pacers, however, increased their lead to 5-1 with under two minutes remaining in the half..
The Pacers then scored four goals within the first six minutes of the third quarter to slowly increase their lead. Long stopped the Pacers' momentum with his second goal of the day. Bailey Mannon got into the scoring action as well for the Mighty Macs with an assist from Connor Tears, but the Pacers countered back with two goals of their own.
After two more goals by Marywood,
David Azzarano got Immaculata back on the scoreboard, but it was not enough as Marywood defeated Immaculata 11-4.
The Mighty Macs were led offensively by
Steve Long, who scored two goals. Bailey Mannion and
David Azzarano also scored, while Connor Tears had two assists.
They will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Gwynedd Mercy in an Atlantic East Conference match-up beginning at 12:00 P.M.
