IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata men's lacrosse team dropped its final regular season matchup on Wednesday afternoon against Neumann 22-7.

Immaculata found themselves in an early deficit 4-0 to start the match. Neumann scored within the first two minutes of action and added two more goals before Immaculata got on board with a goal from
David Azzarano five minutes into the match. Neumann then went on a seven-goal run that lasted most of the first half.

The Mighty Macs then rallied in the final four minutes of the second quarter.
Branden Smith got the Macs kicked off the rally with a goal, assisted by
Anthony Inserra. Smith then added another goal before
Connor Teears got into the action as well to make it 11-4 at half in favor of the Knights.

Bailey Manion scored two goals early on in the third quarter, including the first goal of the second half to continue Immaculata's comeback. Neumann, however scored four goals on the quarter to extend its lead to 15-6 at the end of the third quarter.

David Azzarano scored his second goal of the contest seven minutes into the fourth quarter, but it would be the Macs' lone goal on the period as the Knights scored seven goals to claim the contest 22-7.

Branden Smith each scored two goals on the night for the Macs while
Connor Teears picked up one.
Steve Long and
Anthony Inserra also contributed with two assists each on the contest.

The Mighty Macs now conclude the regular season, owning a 2-4 record in conference play, landing as the No. 5 seed for the Atlantic East Tournament. The Macs will begin their Tournament campaign on Saturday as they travel to Neumann for a rematch in the Atlantic East Quarterfinal.
