ASTON, Pa. – The Immaculata women's tennis team took down Neumann 9-0 during their away match on Thursday afternoon.
Annamarie Degnan and
Pamela Kontaras teamed up for the Macs' victory in first doubles, taking the set 8-0. In second doubles,
Jessica Dougherty and
Kelly O'Brien took the set 8-1 while
Jenna Muttik and
Audrey Keen secured third doubles 8-0.
Moving into singles play, Degnan won her first singles match 6-1, 6-0 while Dougherty won second singles in a 7-5, 6-3 decision. Kontaras then swept her third singles match 6-0, 6-0. Meanwhile, in fourth singles, O'Brien took the victory in two sets 6-0, 6-1. Keen and Muttik then closed out the day for the Macs, sweeping their respective fifth and sixth singles matches with 6-0, 6-0 decisions.
The Mighty Macs will return to action on Saturday as they host Cabrini.
