IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata men's lacrosse team dropped their home matchup against Drew 19-9 on Wednesday evening.
Bailey Manion kicked off the game with an early goal for the Macs. The Rangers, however, were quick to respond, going on a five-goal streak taking up a majority of the quarter. Manion scored in the final two minutes of the period as the Macs found themselves down 6-2.
Joseph Biuso then picked up two goals in the second quarter, both assisted by Manion. Drew, however, scored four goals on the quarter, taking a 10-4 lead over Immaculata at the half.
The Macs utilized the third quarter to mount a comeback. After an early goal from the Rangers, the Macs scored four straight goals to cut the lead to 11-8. Manion added two goals while
Connor Teears and Biuso each tallied one. The comeback, however, was cut short as the Rangers went to scored eight consecutive goals going deep into the fourth quarter.
Anthony Inserra scored the final goal for the Macs before the clock expired on their 19-9 defeat.
Manion scored four goals and four assists to lead the Macs in both categories on the game. Biuso, meanwhile, scored three goals.
The Mighty Macs will return to action on Saturday as they are scheduled to travel to Goucher.
