IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata women's tennis lost its matchup against DeSales in a 7-2 decision on Tuesday.
The Macs' first doubles team of
Annamarie Degnan and
Pamela Kontaras won their set in an 8-6 decision. Moving into second doubles,
Jessica Dougherty and
Kelly O'Brien lost the set 8-7 with a 7-5 tiebreaker.
Audrey Keen and
Jenna Muttik, meanwhile, lost third doubles 8-1.
In first singles, Degnan dropped her match by a score of 6-1, 6-0 while Dougherty lost 6-4, 6-3 in second singles. O'Brien then won her fourth singles matchup with a 6-6 (7-3 tiebreaker), 6-3 line while Keen lost fifth singles, winning her second set 6-4 and losing the other two 6-0 and 10-4. Muttik then dropped sixth singles 6-3, 6-1.
The Mighty Macs will return to action on Sunday as they open Atlantic East play against Marywood.
