GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Immaculata men's basketball team dropped their non-conference contest against Messiah on Saturday evening by a score of 75-51.
The Macs utilized the first seven minutes of the game, taking a 20-12 lead as
Keith Farmer scored eight points over the stretch. From that point on, however, the Falcons shut down the Mighty Macs' offense, scoring 27 points to the Macs' five on the rest of the half as they took a 39-25 lead at the half.
At the half, the Macs were led in scoring by
Keith Farmer who dropped nine points on the half.
Dylan Crews also chipped in, scoring six points on the half. As a team, the Macs shot 5-for-11 (45.5%) from beyond the arc on the half.
Through the first ten minutes of the second half,
Gregory Vlassopoulos spurred the Macs forward, scoring 10 points. The Macs, however, did not gain any ground as the Falcons matched them 14-14 on the stretch. The final ten minutes of the game, meanwhile, belonged to the Falcons as they outscored the Macs 22-12 to take the game in a 75-51 final score.
Vlassopoulos led the Macs on the game with 13 points scored along with four rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Vlassopoulos and
Steven Dao each had four rebounds to lead the Macs defensively.
The Mighty Macs will return to action on Monday night as they travel to Neumann for a 7:00 P.M. contest.
