SWARTHMORE, Pa.- The Immaculata men's basketball team was back in action tonight when they visited the 24th-ranked Swarthmore College Garnet in a non-conference game. Immaculata fell to Swarthmore by a score of 87-57 in their final non-conference game.
In the first half, Swarthmore jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead. Immaculata got on the board with 16:52 remaining in the half on a jumper from John Flood. Tim Schultice closed the score to 10-4 on a driving layup. Swarthmore would continue to apply pressure on Immaculata and held a 42-22 lead going into the halftime break. Tim Schultice led the Mighty Macs in the first half with five points and Keith Farmer and Tyler Tillery each added four points for the Macs.
In the second half, Swarthmore continued to apply pressure on Immaculata, as the Macs were unable to get a run started. Tyler Tillery scored nine points in the second half for Immaculata and Brandon Perez scored eight. Swarthmore would go on to take the win 87-57.
Tyler Tillery led the Macs with 13 points, while Tim Schultice scored 11 and Brandon Perez added 10 points. Scion Dorsey led Immaculata with six rebounds.
The Immaculata men's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday, January 7th when they open Atlantic East Conference play as they visit Centenary University for an 8:00 PM game.
