IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's basketball team dropped their non-conference game vs North Carolina Wesleyan on Friday afternoon by a score of 68-56.
In the first half North Carolina Wesleyan opened a quick 6-0 lead. Immaculata would respond with a lay up by
Tim Schultice and a three pointer from
Jalen Flowers to make the score 6-5. Immaculata would open a four-point lead with 12:33 remaining in the half on a three-pointer from
Tim Schultice. The game would stay close throughout the remainder of the first half with North Carolina Wesleyan taking a 25-23 lead into the halftime break.
In the second half North Carolina Wesleyan would open the lead up to six points with 14:58 remaining in the game. Immaculata would get game tied at 47-47 with 6:12 remaining behind consecutive three-pointers from
Brandon Perez. North Carolina Wesleyan used an 11-0 run to open a 63-51 lead with 2:28 remaining in the game. The Battling Bishops would hold on to win the game 75-63.
The Mighty Macs were led on offense by
Brandon Perez with a career high 15 points and
John Proctor with a career high 11 points.
Tim Schultice contributed nine points, and
John Flood led the team with six rebounds.
The Immaculata men's basketball team is back in action on Tuesday, December 20
th when they host Wilson College at Alumnae Hall at 2:00 PM.
