GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- The Immaculata men's soccer team took down Gwynedd Mercy University by a score of 6-0 in today's Atlantic East Conference match up.
It was a busy offensive game for the Mighty Macs.
Oliver Wilkins got the party started early, with the first goal of the match in the 11
th minute of action, this was assisted by
Oldy Dielce.
Josh Fonder kept the scoring going with a goal in the 26
th minute, assisted by both
Michael Balestriere and
Collin Hassay to give the Mighty Macs an early 2-0 lead.
Balestriere then beat the defender to the net and got the ball to hook into the far post to give Immaculata a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half,
Oldy Dielce scored not one, not two, but three goals to give himself his first collegiate hat trick. The senior scored in the 67
th, 68
th and 73
rd minutes. The first one was an assist from
Dylan Walter, while the second goal came off of the feeds from
Matthew Kirkpatrick and
Dylan Roberts. After Dielce's goals, the Macs held a 6-0 lead, the eventual final score as neither team tallied another goal the remainder of the match.Dielce finished the match with 7 points, a career best and tied the program record for most points in a single game. Dielce's hat trick was the ninth in program history and tied the program record for most goals in a single game.Â

On the defensive end for Immaculata, goalie
John Wilhelm tallied 6 saves in 90 minutes of play while maintaining a clean sheet and keeping the Griffins off the board.

The Immaculata men's soccer team is back in action on Wednesday as they play host to Neumann University in a 4:00 match up at Draper Walsh Stadium.
