IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University Men's Soccer team lost by a score of 2-1 in tonight's Atlantic East Conference matchup against the Neumann University Knights.

In just the first ten minutes of play, Immaculata goalkeeper, sophomore
John Wilhelm, tallied two clutch saves as Neumann started the contest as the aggressor. As the Mighty Macs began to fight back,
Josh Fonder and
Oldy Dielce each found multiple shots on goal. Finally, Â Dielce was able to break through the Knights' defense scoring the first Mighty Mac goal in the 19th minute on a breakaway with just the goaltender to beat. Goalkeeper
John Wilhelm continued to work hard in goal, tallying two more crucial saves as the first half came to a close with the score tied 1-1

The second half was much more competitive with the majority of play taking place towards the middle of the field. The Neumann Knights were able to push through in the second half, with
John Wilhelm tallying two more major saves in the 47th and 63rd minutes.
 The Mighty Macs offense made their push around the 65th minute, with
Oldy Dielce placing a shot on goal and keeping Immaculata on the offensive. Unfortunately, Immaculata was unable to manufacture an offensive breakthrough in the last minutes of play as the Knights snuck their second and final goal through the Mighty Macs defense in the 83rd minute of play.

The Immaculata University Men's Soccer team will travel to Radnor, Pennsylvania this Saturday, October 15th, to face Cabrini University in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
