Women's Soccer Wraps Up Non Conference Slate

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Immaculata women's soccer team fell to Bryn Mawr College by a score of 5-1.  


The Mighty Macs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a goal in the 14th minute of play by freshman Savanna Crowding. Bryn Mawr would bounce back to tie the contest up at one off a penalty kick in the 28th minute. 
Bryn Mawr would take a 2-1 lead in the 31st minute with another goal. They would quickly follow their first two goals with their third goal in under 10 minutes of action, taking a 3-1 advantage into the half.  

Crowding, sophomore Rachel McNamee, senior Kristen Guthier as well as junior Nicole Winouski tallied shots on goal for the Mighty Macs in the first half.  

Bryn Mawr kept tacking on an insurance goal to push their lead to 4-1 in the 74th minute of play. They would quickly add anothet goal to go up 5-1 in the 77th minute, which was ultimately the final score.  

McNamee, sophomore Kelsey Caldarelli and senior Bridget McDonough put shots on goal in the second half.  

The Immaculata women's soccer team will be back in action on Saturday, October 8th, as they host Gwynedd Mercy University to begin Atlantic East Conference play. The game is set for a 1:00 start, before the start of the game, the program would like to honor their six seniors for Senior Day.
