IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata University Women's Soccer team tied by a score of 1-1 in this evenings Atlantic East Conference matchup against the Marymount University Saints.
 
The first half of play was controlled by the Mighty Macs on both sides of the field. On the offensive, Immaculata's 
Tanis McDonnell and Kelly Dombroski were both able to place shots on goal. During the offensive rush, 
Rachel McNamee scored the first Mighty Mac goal in the 21st minute on an assist by 
Kelli Dombroski. On the defensive, freshman goalkeeper Emily Guthier tallied four crucial saves to maintain the Mighty Macs' lead at the close of first half play giving the Macs a 1-0 advantage heading into half.
 
The start of the second half did not resemble the first with the visiting Saints scoring their first goal 55 minutes into play. While both 
Kelli Dombroski and 
Nicole Brennan were able to place shots on goal in the remainder of the second half, the Mighty Macs were unable to break through the Saints defense as the contest came to a close.
 
The Mighty Macs will begin the Atlantic East Conference Tournament on Monday, October 31st, with their opponent and the location to be determined.
