SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata women's soccer team dropped their Atlantic East Conference match at Marywood 4-0.
In the first half the game remained scoreless until the 11
th minute when Marywood scored the games fist goal. Immaculata continued to battle, but Marywood scored again in the 35
th minute to extend their lead and took the 2-0 into the half-time break. Marywood outshot Immaculata 17-3 in the half.
In the second half Immaculata continued to battle and
Rachel McNamee and Savanna Crowding registered shots on goal for the Macs. Marywood extended their lead to 3-0 in the 72nd minute and closed out the scoring in with a goal the 87 minute for the 4-0 final.
Emily Guthier was strong in goal for Immaculata making 11 saves. Guthier made six saves in the first half, and five saves in the second half.
Immaculata women's soccer is back in action on Saturday, October 22
nd when the travel to play at Centenary University in an Atlantic East Conference game at 1:30 P.M.
