IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata University Field Hockey team dropped tonight's Atlantic East Conference matchup against Gwynedd Mercy University by a score of 2-1.

The first and second quarter saw back and forth action between the Mighty Macs and Griffins defense as the Griffins led the first half maintaining a 1-0 lead. On the offense, Mighty Macs
Gianna Gatto and
Lauren Vandenbraak both recorded shots on goal but were unable to break the Griffins defense.

The Griffins started off the third quarter with their second goal of the match. Senior
Gianna Gatto answered back with the lone goal for the Mighty Macs on a penalty stroke in her final home game. There were nine shots on Goal for the day by
Gianna Gatto,
Lauren Vandenbraak,
Ryann Shemeley, Maddy Edwards, and
Gabrielle O'Brien. Â

The Immaculata University Field Hockey team will travel to Radnor, Pennsylvania this Saturday, October 22, to face Cabrini University in an Atlantic East Conference matchup.
