IMMACULATA,Pa.-The Immaculata University Women's Soccer team suffered a tough loss in today's Atlantic East Conference matchup against the Cabrini University Cavaliers by a score of 1-0.
The first half was filled with competitive play on both sides, with the Immaculata defense doing a majority of the work. Mighty Mac goalie
Gina Marinelli tallied five crucial saves throughout the first half that allowed the offense to start applying pressure.
The second half saw more offensive action from the Mighty Macs. Immaculata offenders Bridgette McDonough and
Nicole Winouski were able to place shots on goal while goalkeepers
Gina Marinelli and
Emily Guthier both continued to tally saves in goal.
The Immaculata University Women's Soccer team will travel to Scranton, Pennsylvania this Wednesday, October 19th to face Marywood University for Atlantic East Conference play.
