Field Hockey Loses to Roadrunners 5-0

IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Mighty Macs field hockey team dropped their home match against the Ramapo Roadrunners 5-0 on Saturday. The Mighty Macs now fall to 3-7 on the season.
 
After a scoreless first quarter, Ramapo scored two goals in the second quarter to take the lead. The first was scored by Maggie Farrell in the 18th minute while the second goal was scored by Victoria Docherty in the 24th minute of action.
 
The Roadrunners added on three additional goals in the third quarter to secure a 5-0 lead. Mariah Tovar scored in the 31st minute while Angela Oskierko scored in the 37th minute. Docherty tallied an assist on each goal while Talitha Joustra also assisted Oskierko's goal. Docherty recorded her second goal of the day in the 42nd minute, assisted by Tovar, to secure the 5-0 score.
 
Immaculata was outshot on the day 17-1 with the only shot for the Mighty Macs coming from Lauren Buckel.
 
Freshman goalkeeper Julia Levase recorded six saves in net on ten shots over the course of 42 minutes of action. Fellow freshman Ashley Finkbiner relieved her in net, allowing one goal while tallying two saves for the remainder of the match.
 
The Mighty Macs are on the road next for a matchup against Arcadia on Wednesday. Their match in Glenside, Pa. is scheduled to start at 7:00 P.M.
