GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Immaculata field hockey team lost their matchup against the Arcadia Knights on Wednesday night 7-0. The Mighty Macs drop to 3-8 on the season while the Knights improve to 4-6.
 
The match started with a scoreless first quarter. The Knights recorded four shots on the period while keeping the Macs shotless.
 
Forty seconds into the second quarter, however, the Knights connected on their first goal of the match courtesy of Samantha Jacona. Later, with 33 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Morganne Dee scored to give the Knights a 2-0 lead over the Mighty Macs heading into halftime.
 
Just over two minutes into the second half, the Knights increased their lead on a goal from Morgan Mcentire. Jacona then scored her second goal of the match in the 36^th minute. One minute later, Bridget Buckmaster scored the third goal of the period for the Knights as they owned a 5-0 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
 
Autumn Gahman score twice in the fourth quarter for Arcadia as they walked away with a 7-0 victory over Immaculata.
 
The Mighty Macs were outshot 19-0 on the match.
 
The Macs will return to action on Wednesday, October 6^th as they open up Atlantic East Conference play on the road against Neumann. Their match against the Neumann Knights is scheduled to start at 7:00 P.M.
