Immaculata Women's Soccer Drops Home Match vs. Alvernia

Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata women's soccer team dropped their home match against the Alvernia Golden Wolves 1-0 Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs drop to 0-5 on the season while the Golden Wolves improve to 2-3.
 
Through the first 45 minutes, the score remained 0-0. The Mighty Macs recorded six shots (three shots on goal) which keeping the Golden Wolves to two shots in total on the first half.
 
In the 73rd minute, Alvernia broke the ice as Madison Whary scored on a breakaway to give Alvernia the 1-0 lead over Immaculata. Despite some offensive chances in the final fifteen minutes of action, the Mighty Macs failed to score as the score ended 1-0.
 
The Mighty Macs led Alvernia in total shots on the day 12-6. Junior Nicole Brennan alongside freshmen Rachel McNamee and Allison Holden led the Mighty Macs offensively with two shots recorded each.
 
The Mighty Macs will return to action next Saturday for an away match against Eastern University. Their match against the Eagles is set to start at 11:00 A.M.
