LANCASTER, Pa. – Following his performance at the Atlantic East Championships on Saturday, the Atlantic East Conference named Ivan Zavala-Zavala to the 2021 men's cross country All-Conference Second Team.
 
All-Conference honors are bestowed upon the top 14 finishers at the Atlantic East Championship each season. The top seven finishers are named All-Conference First Team while the next seven are dubbed All-Conference Second Team.
 
Zavala-Zavala was on the cusp of First Team honors on Saturday, finishing in eighth place overall, seconds behind the seventh-place finisher. He earned a time of 30:06.8 on the day, leading the Mighty Macs to a third-place finish in adverse running conditions.
 
Earlier in the season, the freshman runner became the fourth Immaculata men's cross country runner to break the 29-minute mark in the 8K, finishing with a time of 28:28.9 at the LVC Last Chance Invite.
