ASTON, Pa. – The Immaculata women's volleyball team opened up Atlantic Conference play Wednesday night with a 3-0 loss against Neumann.
Set one began with the Mighty Macs going toe-to-toe with the Knights as the score stood at 6-6. Neumann, however, would begin to distance themselves before going on a 13-2 rally as they took set one 25-13.
In set two, the Macs were behind 13-9 when the Knights went on an 8-point rally, securing set two with a final score of 25-14. Immaculata was up 10-8 at one point until Neumann took over, scoring 16 consecutive points before eventually winning 25-11, securing the 3-0 sweep.
Making a mid-season comeback,
Aly Lowe returned to the court for the Mighty Macs tonight, recording a team-leading seven kills on the night.
Emily Ettien, meanwhile, led the team with 10 assists on the nighty while
Ava Thorley recorded 13 digs for the Mighty Macs.
The Macs return home next Wednesday as they host Marymount in conference play. The match is scheduled to start at 6:30 P.M.
