IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata women's soccer team opened up conference play with a 3-0 loss against Marywood Wednesday night.
Senior goalkeeper
Brooke Shissler played phenomenally on the night for the Mighty Macs. In the first half, Shissler faced six shots on goal, making six incredible saves to keep the score at 0-0 heading into the half.
Unfortunately, the Pacers' shots picked up in pace and intensity heading into the second half. Just over two minutes into the half, Madison Blackshire scored to give the Pacers the lead. Nine minutes later, Riley Mulherin increased the lead to 2-0. Later, in the 85
th minute, Blackshire put away her second goal of the day, securing a 3-0 final score in favor of the Pacers.
On the match, Shissler made 11 saves on the night in net. Offensively,
Kristen Guthier recorded four shots on the day, one on goal.
The Mighty Macs return to action on Saturday as they host Centenary University in Atlantic East Conference play. First kick for the match is scheduled for 1:00 P.M.
