IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata women's tennis team dropped their match against FDU-Florham on Tuesday afternoon 6-3.
The Macs' first win of the day came in third doubles where
Jenna Muttik and
Audrey Keen won their match 6-1. In first doubles, the pair of
Annamarie Degnan and
Pamela Kontaras dropped their match 6-2. Meanwhile,
Jessica Dougherty and
Kelly O'Brien lost a close match in second doubles with a final score of 7-5.
Degnan and Doughery represented the Mighty Macs in first and second singles, respectively, losing by respective 8-2 and 8-5 margins. Kontaras then went on to win her third singles match in a close 8-6 final score. O'Brien dropped her fourth singles match 8-0 while Muttik dropped a hard-fought fifth singles match 8-6.
The Macs' third win of the day came in sixth singles where
Audrey Keen defeated her opponent 8-3.
The Mighty Macs are back in action tomorrow for their final home match of the fall 2021 season against Ursinus. Their match against the Bears is scheduled to start at 3:30 P.M.
