SCOTT, Pa. – The Immaculata men's cross country team earned a third-place finish today at the Atlantic East Conference Championship held by Marywood University. The Mighty Macs earned 70 points overall and were five points behind Gwynedd Mercy for second overall.
Ivan Zavala-Zavala earned Atlantic East All-Conference Second Team honors after finishing eighth overall on the race. Zavala-Zavala finished the 8K with a time of 30:06.8, seven seconds behind the seventh-place finisher.
Kieran Brackin was the next to finish for Immaculata, finishing in 17
th place overall. The freshman finished with a time of 32:32.0 on the day. He was then followed by
Nicholas John Speakman-Viggiano, who finished in 20
th place for Immaculata with a time of 33:58.6.
The next two to finish for the Mighty Macs were
Alex Poli and Gabe DeRose, who finished in 23
rd and 24
th place with times of 34:33.5 and 34:37.3, respectively.
Marchello Barile then closed out the day for Immaculata, finishing in 29
th place overall with a time of 36:07.1.
The Mighty Macs will return to action on November 13
th as they compete in the NCAA Regionals.
