RADNOR, Pa. – The Immaculata women's volleyball team dropped their match against Cabrini 3-0 on Friday evening. The Macs dropped their sets by totals of 25-12, 25-5, and 25-19 in favor of Cabrini.
 
The Mighty Macs fell into an early 8-1 hole in set one and could not recover. Down 20-4, Ava Throley recorded two consecutive kills while serves from Julianna Rotondo aided the Macs in going on a four-point run. Despite the late effort, the Macs lost set one 25-12.
 
Immaculata quickly fell into a 12-1 hole in set two. The team went on to lose set two 25-5.
 
In set three, however, the Macs were down 17-9 before they began to mount a comeback. Isabelle Davis recorded three kills and Emily Ettien recorded two as the Macs came to within five at 24-19. Cabrini would, however, record the final point to secure the 3-0 sweep.
 
On the match, Davis led the Macs offensively with five kills. Ettien led the team with 11 assists while Rotondo led the team with eight digs.
 
The Macs will return to action next Tuesday as they are on the road against Gwynedd Mercy. Their match against the Griffins is scheduled to start at 6:00 P.M.
