IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata women's soccer honored its senior class as they dropped their Atlantic East Conference match with the Neumann Knights on Wednesday 1-0.
Prior to the start of today's match, the Immaculata women's soccer team honored its two seniors:
Maddy Terry and
Brooke Shissler. Both have been four-year members of the women's soccer team while Terry is also a four-year member of the Immaculata women's lacrosse team.
The score stood at 0-0 through the end of the first half. The Mighty Macs recorded four shots on the half versus Neumann's nine. In net, Shissler recorded four saves on the half.
With five minutes remaining, Chloe Britton scored for Neumann to take the late lead. The Mighty Macs tried to respond but could not in time as the Knights defeated the Macs 1-0.
Immaculata out-shot Neumann 5-1 on the second half as the Knights held a 10-9 advantage overall.
Kelsey Caldarelli led Immaculata in shots with four overall.
The Mighty Macs are on the road for their two remaining regular season matches. The first will be this Saturday as the Macs close Atlantic East play with a 1:00 P.M. matchup against Gwynedd Mercy.
