IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata women's tennis team dropped their match against Moravian 8-1 on Saturday.
The Macs' sole win on the day came via
Jessica Dougherty in second singles. Dougherty won set one 6-4 before dropping set two 6-3. In a third set thriller, Dougherty took home the victory 10-6.
Annamarie Degnan dropped her first singles match to Moravian by scores of 6-2 and 6-1. Freshman
Pamela Kontaras played third singles, dropping her matches 6-0, 6-0. In fourth singles,
Kelly O'Brien dropped her matches 6-2 and 6-1. Closing out singles,
Jenna Muttik and
Audrey Keen dropped their respective fifth and sixth singles matches with scores of 6-0, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-2.
Degnan and Kontaras dropped their first doubles match 8-3 while Dougherty and O'Brien lost second doubles 8-0. In third doubles, Gardner and Keen wrapped up the day dropping the match 8-3.
The Macs will return to action on Tuesday as they host FDU-Florham for a 3:00 P.M. matchup.
