Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Macs Shutout by Cabrini 1-0

RADNOR, Pa. – The Immaculata women's soccer team lost their conference matchup against Cabrini 1-0 on Wednesday night. Following the match, the Mighty Macs drop to 1-10 on the season with a 1-2 record in Atlantic East Conference play.
 
The first half remained scoreless as Immaculata was outshot 8-2 by Cabrini. Both of Immaculata's recorded shots were on goal while only two of Cabrini's shots were on goal.
 
24 minutes into the second half, the score remained 0-0 until Cabrini was awarded a free kick near midfield. Rebekah Cunningham took the free kick for the Cavaliers. With traffic in front of the goal, the ball slipped past the Mighty Macs defense and into the back of the net.
 
The Immaculata offense failed to apply much pressure for the final 20 minutes of the match as Cabrini won the match 1-0. On the match, Immaculata was outshot 15-3.
 
In goal, senior Brooke Shissler recorded seven saves on eight shots on goal on the night. Offensively, Bridget McDonough, Kelsey Caldarelli, and Kelli Dombroski each recorded a shot on goal for the Macs.
 
The women's soccer team will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Arlington, Va. for a matchup with Marymount. Their match against the Saints is scheduled to start at 1:00 P.M.
