What they said:
Head Coach Chrissy Rhine on the comeback victory:
"We knew tonight was a huge game for us and we knew it would come down to who wanted it more," opened head coach Chrissy Rhine. "Coming into the game, we knew that intensity on D would be crucial to our success tonight and we really stepped up our intensity level in the second-half, which led us to the comeback victory" explained Rhine. "At halftime I reminded the team that this game was going to come down to who wanted it more and you need to do the little things right, which we were able to do in the second half" stated Rhine.
Rhine on Kearney scoring her 1000th Career Point:
"I could not be more proud of Theresa. To accomplish something like this in her junior season (71 games) is testament to her incredible work ethic and I truly could not be prouder of her
opened Rhine. "Theresa is so modest and down to earth but she deserves all the praise and recognition in the world for this accomplishment. She (Theresa) does all the little things and anything I ask of her whether that is stepping up her intensity and hustling on D, scoring, or fighting for the ball on rebounds and loose balls. Theresa is so coachable so it has made her very each to mentor her along this journey" concluded the Mighty Macs veteran mentor.
