LANCASTER, Pa- In search of its first win of the young season, the Immaculata field hockey team traveled to Lancaster Bible College
on Saturday afternoon for a non-league clash. Immaculata used a pair of first quarter goals to cruise to the 7-0 victory this afternoon.
How it happened:
Layne Kennedy opened the scoring in the fifth minute before
Macy Greene added a goal of her own in the 10th minute to give the Macs a 2-0 lead heading to the second quarter of play.
In the second quarter, Immaculata's offense continued to fire on all cylinders as
Colleen Bradley,
Ashley Hankin, and
Willa Thompson all added goals to give the Macs a commanding 5-0 lead heading to the halftime break.
In the second half of play, Immaculata added two more goals as Bradley found the back of the cage once again in the third quarter while Kennedy scored her second of the day in the fourth to give the Macs a convincing 7-0 victory.
Randie Kuhar also played well between the pipes making one big stop in the second quarter of play to keep the host Chargers off the scoreboard.

Hankin and
Theresa Cerruti each registered their first points as Mighty Macs this afternoon as Hankin scored a goal while Cerruti added an assist in Kennedy's goal during the fourth quarter.
As a team, Immaculata outshot its hosts 15-2 including a gaping 10-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Macs also ended the game with a solid 10-4 edge in penalty corners.
