IMMACULATA, Pa.- On the heels of an exciting victory over Cairn to open the season, the Immaculata University women's volleyball team was back in action opposite Keystone on Wednesday evening inside Alumnae hall. The Macs battled hard throughout but the Giants proved to be too much in the three-set defeat (25-21, 25-17, 25-16).
How it Happened:
- The first set was tightly contested throughout as both teams battled throughout the opening set but it was a late charge by Keystone that gave the first set victory by a final of 25-21.
- In the second set, the story was similar as the two teams continued to battle but once again Keystone emerged victorious by a final of 25-17.
- In the third and final set, Keystone once again battled to earn the victory by a final of 25-16.
Inside the Box Score:
- As a team, Immaculata recorded a hitting percentage of .054 while Keystone recorded a hitting percentage of .213
- Jade Rindock led the Mighty Macs in kills with six kills on the evening while Megan Daugherty ended the evening with a team-high 10 digs while also recording another team-high eight assists on the match.
- McKenna Ryan led the way for the Mighty Macs in terms of aces as she recorded three aces on the evening in what a losing effort for the Macs.
